Ahmedabad’s Atal Bridge attracts over 77 lakh visitors in three years, earns AMC ₹27.7 cr

Atal Bridge on the Sabarmati River has emerged as one of Ahmedabad’s most popular tourist attractions, drawing millions of visitors since its opening.

According to data shared by the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited (SRFDCL), a total of 77,71,269 people have visited Atal Bridge between August 31, 2022 and October 2025, generating over ₹27.70 crore in revenue for the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC).

 In its first operational phase, from August 31, 2022 to March 2023, the bridge had recorded 21.62 lakh visitors, resulting in ₹6.44 crore in earnings.

Between April 2023 and March 2024, the bridge saw 26.89 lakh visitors, bringing in ₹8.24 crore, while from April 2024 to March 2025, 20.67 lakh visitors contributed another ₹8.19 crore in revenue.

In just the first six months of the current financial year — from April to October 2025 — Atal Bridge has already attracted 8.51 lakh visitors, generating ₹4.82 crore.

SRFDCL, a company under the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, constructed and maintains the Atal Bridge.
