Ahmedabad: Two die in hit and run on SP Ring Road
The M division traffic police have registered a case of causing death by negligence along with the charges of motor vehicle act
According to an FIR filed with the M division traffic police in the wee hours of Wednesday, the two deceased were Sarang Kothari, 21, resident of Manipur, and Suresh Thakor, 22, a resident of Mohammedpura.
Sarang's father Subhash Kothari said in his FIR that Sarang worked with a private firm in Sarkhej and was driving his motorcycle and Thakor was riding pillion when the accident took place. "When Sarang and Thakor were returning home, the SUV car was over speeding and hit the motorcycle from behind.
"The two fell on the road and died on the spot. The car driver fled from the spot to avoid public fury," said a police officer.
The M division traffic police have registered a case of causing death by negligence along with the charges of motor vehicle act against the unknown man.
