Ahmedabad records 5 new Covid cases

The city on Friday recorded 5 new Covid cases and discharge of 9 patients, taking the active cases to 46.

Gujarat recorded 14 new cases and discharge of 17 patients, taking the active cases to 118.

The other cases included 4 from Vadodara city, 2 from Navsari, and 1 each from Surat, Rajkot and Bhavnagar cities. With the update, the number of districts with zero cases shrunk to 17.

Out of total active cases, 2 were on ventilator. The state administered Covid vaccine to 68,072 persons, taking the total to 10.81 crore.

The number included precaution doses to 9,968 and second dose in 12-14 years age group to 33,031.
