Ahmedabad gas distributors reduce CNG, residential PNG prices

In a major relief to the transport industry and consumers, major city gas distribution (CGD) firms have announced a cut in the unit base prices (UBP) of compressed natural gas (CNG) and residential piped natural gas (PNG).
On Thursday, Adani Total Gas Limited announced a reduction of Rs 4.7 per kg in CNG prices across all 19 geographical areas.
With this, CNG price in Ahmedabad will reduce from Rs 87.38 per kg to Rs 83.90 per kg - a reduction of Rs 3.48 per kg.
Similarly, the company has also announced a reduction in PNG prices by up to Rs 3.20 per standard cubic metre (SCM).
The recent intervention by the central government has helped the CGD industry to moderate the prices of CNG and residential PNG for the end consumers.
