In a historic and grand celebration marking 375 years of Thakardham, the sacred site of the Bharwad community in Bavliyali village, Dholera, over 75,000 Maldhari sisters came together to set a world record by performing Hoodo Ras in unison.
The event, which took place on March 20, was attended by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the gathering virtually.
The festival, organized to honor the legacy of Thakardham, witnessed various cultural and spiritual programs, but the Hoodo Ras performance stood out as the most remarkable highlight.
Dressed in identical traditional attire, 75,000 women of the Bharwad community participated in the rhythmic and vibrant dance, securing a place in World Records India.
The synchronized performance not only showcased the rich cultural heritage of the Maldhari community but also demonstrated their unity and devotion.
The grand celebration at Bavliyali Thakardham has set a new benchmark in cultural history, bringing pride to Gujarat and the Bharwad Samaj.
