A boiler explosion at Canton Laboratories, a chemical industry in Vadodara's Makarpura GIDC area injured several people. The bomb occurred near Vadsar bridge, about 10 a.m., and the force was felt as far as 3 kilometres away, shattering glass windows.
14 people were injured along with kids. The fire and emergency services team had arrived at the scene, and police Inspector S J Baloch of the Manjalpur police station informed The Indian Express that they were examining if there had been any injuries.
"The injured have been shifted to the hospital. There was a blast in the boiler and an investigation is underway."
Traffic on the Vadsar Railway overbridge was also stopped briefly.
