At least nine people died and several were injured after a bus crashed into car in Gujarat's Navsari Saturday morning.
According to a report, the bus full of people returning from the Pramukh Swami Maharaj Shatabdi Mahotsav event from Surat rammed into a Toyota Fortuner SUV on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai highway after the driver suffered a heart attack and lost control of the vehicle.
Of the nine who died, eight were travelling in the car. “One seriously injured has been referred to Surat,” Navsari DySP VN Patel told sources.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah condoled the deaths in a Twitter post.
Those travelling in the SUV were residents of Ankleshwar in Gujarat.
