As part of India’s G20 presidency, the third G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBGs) meeting will begin in Gandhinagar today.
Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Dr. Shaktikanta Das, will jointly chair the meeting.
Sources reports that the two-day meeting will be organised into five thematic sessions on topics such as Global Economy and Global Health, Sustainable Finance and Infrastructure, International Financial Architecture, International Taxation, and Financial Inclusion.
The objective of the 3rd G20 FMCBG is to review the outcomes of the G20 Finance Track and to seek guidance from Ministers and Governors on the way forward.
Nearly 500 delegates including Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors of the G20 member countries, invited countries, and heads of International Organisations will attend the meeting.
On 19th July, the G20 delegates will be taken to Ahmedabad City, Patan and Modhera, and the Statue of Unity in Kevadia.
