Daily Covid positive cases in the city continued to register an upward trend with 24 new cases reported on Tuesday.
After the discharge of 10 patients, the active cases in the city reached 119.
Ahmedabad accounted for 73% of the 33 fresh cases in the state and 69% of the state's total active cases.
Gujarat recorded 33 cases including eight from Vadodara city and one from Jamnagar city; 19 of the 33 districts had zero active cases. Out of total active cases, only one was on the ventilator.
In 24 hours, Gujarat vaccinated 3,721 persons for the first dose and 33,643 for the second. In all, 5.39 crore were administered the first and 5.16 crore, the second doses of Covid vaccine.
The state administered 17,143 second doses to children in the 12-14 age group, taking the total to 8.84 lakh.
