24 active Covid cases in Ahmedabad

The city on Thursday recorded three new Covid cases and discharge of four patients, taking the number of active cases to 24.

In Gujarat, the active cases reached 73 with eight new cases and discharge of nine patients. Out of the total active patients, two were on ventilators.

In other areas, Kheda recorded two, and Gandhinagar city, Kutch and Vadodara districts one case each. 33 districts, 19 have zero active cases. The test positivity rate in Gujarat was 0.05% on Thursday.

Gujarat, in the past 24 hours vaccinated 7,746 persons for the first dose and 19,084 for the second.

In all, 5.36 crore citizens were administered the first and 5.01 crore second dose of Covid vaccine. The state administered 6,138 doses to the children in 12-14 years age group, taking the total to 14.74 lakh.
