Several flights to and from Delhi were affected by the canopy collapse at Terminal 1 (T1) of Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport on Friday.
Seven of the 22 flights delayed at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) airport here were departing for or arriving from Delhi.
In all 16 departures and seven arrivals were delayed by one to three hours.
The delayed departures from SVPI included flights to Delhi, Goa, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Ayodhya, Goa and Varanasi.
Of these, five flights were Delhi-bound. Heavy rain in several parts of India has affected flight operations, airline sources said.
Seven flight to SVPI were also delayed. These were from Goa, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi and Abu Dhabi.
Sources said bad weather in Delhi and other parts of the country had led to the delays.
Five IndiGo flights, two to Delhi, one to Diu and two from Delhi, were delayed.
SpiceJet also announced the cancellation of flights from T1 in Delhi. Later, it announced that the affected flights from T1 were accommodated at Terminal 3.
