13039 people were vaccinated on the first day of Mega Vaccination Campaign launched by District Health System in Vadodara district. People in the age group of 18 to 44 are allowed to register and get vaccinated on the spot on the basis of evidence like Aadhaar card without pre-registration online. As a result, the number of vaccinators has more than doubled on Monday.

In rural areas of Vadodara district, vaccination was being carried out in 25 centers with the target of vaccinating 5,000 people in the age group of 18 to 44 daily. However now a target of vaccinating 10000 people daily is set by the administration by increasing the number of centres.

Under it, 9459 people between the ages of 18 and 44 have taken the first dose of vaccine on Monday almost doubled the number.

Along with that 93026 people in this age group have taken the first dose of the vaccine including 487 who have taken the second dose.

In addition to 18 to 44, a total of 13039 people from four other categories took the first dose of the vaccine on Monday. Thus far, a total of 441672 people have taken the first dose of the vaccine.

On Monday 1813 people took the second dose with which the number of people who have taken both doses has increased to 104213.

Thus far, the number of people in rural areas of Vadodara district who have taken only the first and both doses has increased to 545885.

On Monday 9459 people aged 18 to 44, 2982 people aged 45 to 59 and 598 people aged 60 + took the first dose of the vaccine.
