State Yoga Board has prepared 25 thousand yoga trainers this year and assumes to start 1 lakh yoga classes – Shishpalji
Gujarat State Yoga Board Chairman Yoga Sevak Shishpalji inaugurated a yoga coach training camp for 7 districts including Vadodara in Central Gujarat at Ipkowala Naturopathy Center in Sokhada village of Vadodara taluka.
Informing that 5 thousand yoga classes are being run in the state at present, he said that this year through such trained yoga coaches, 1 lakh yoga trainers have been prepared in the state up to taluka and village level and the yoga board is planning to start 25 thousand yoga classes.
He said that in order to expand the yoga activity, the board appoints more yoga coaches in each of the two talukas and in the metro cities who train yoga trainers.
Expressing the feeling that sedentary life and lack of exercise are the root causes of physical and mental ailments, he said that yoga is the cure for diseases. Our sages have shown the way to a healthy life through yoga, meditation and Ayurveda. Among these, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has formed the State Yoga Board with the noble intention of making the state fit and healthy through yoga.
Thanks to the efforts of the Prime Minister, Indian Yoga has gained global recognition and World Yoga Day is widely celebrated every year. Yoga stimulates the immune system, so yoga is useful in staying healthy in the pandemic of corona.
Hima Parikh, a member of the Yoga Board and associated with the Art of Living, said that yoga is extremely useful in channelizing the energy of the youth and making a positive use of it for the society.
Expressing the feeling that one should do yoga to stay healthy, the CMO of Ipkowala Naturopathy Center, Sokhada Dr. Haley Solanki said that at her center, yoga and natural remedies are combined to guide healthy living.
