Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani put focus on increase the testing in Baroda and give instructions to the administration to double the rate from tomorrow. He also guide the administration to intensify checking at prone areas of city and district to help contain the transmission of the virus.

CM Vijay Rupani accompanied by deputy CM Nitin Patel and other top officials reached Vadodara and attend the review meeting of Coronavirus situation and preventive steps taken to contain it. The meeting was attended by officials city and district administration, panchayat and police department.

After the meeting CM Vijay Rupani briefed the media about some important decisions taken to prevent the virus. He put focus on increase of testing and said to give instructions to the local administration to double the testing from tomorrow. He said they are trying to conduct 20000 tests per day in the state to control the virus.

He declared 5 crore to Baroda from CM relief fund as part of assistance to fight the Coronavirus. He said the government is sensitive towards providing best healthcare facilities to the patients. He give instructions to about providing treatment facilities from beds, medicines, ventilators at government run hospitals for Covid 19. He assured the government will help in providing ventilators if needed. We want to give best treatment to people free of cost in government hospitals.

Furthermore he request the people of Baroda for not to fear Corona and appeal them to follow the guidelines strictly.

He said they are working on to decrease the death rate and give instructions to the administration to increase the checking specially in prone areas like Baroda, Dabhoi, Savli, Padra. I told them to conduct checking once in every eight days and distribute preventive medicines to stop the transmission, added Rupani.

Keeping in mind the request from IMA members, he accepted and send a proposal to the central government to give insurance cover to the doctors treat the Covid patients.
He also said that government is taking every step to provide enough stock of injections like Itolizumab, Tocilizumab, Remdesivir in the hospitals to fight.

He also request people to avoid celebrate the upcoming festivals in public and request the organisers to take the initiative and inform people. He appeal not to celebrate festivals outside till the situation gets in control as it can lead to transmission of disease.
