Later released in the forest
The team of Gujarat SPCA and Wildlife SOS along with RFO Jignesh Soni of Forest Department of Rajpipla rescued parrots from people kept them in captivity.
Based in the information the team conducted a joint operation and raided different houses in different areas of Rajpipla in Narmada. They rescued three Alexandrine Parrot, 15 Rose ringed Parrot and seven Plum-headed Parrot. A total of 25 parrots were rescued and released in the forest.
Legal action was taken against the people’s under the Wildlife Act 1972. Rajesh Bhavsar from GSPCA request the people to report and handover any wildlife they have to the forest Department or GSPCA and avoid this crime.
