Detained one Raju Vaghela

GSPCA and forest department in a joint operation rescued the national bird peacock from a house in Vadodara. The peacock was held captive by the owner inside his home and rescued by the animal welfare activists on Monday.

As per the details someone called the GSPCA about the person kept the national bird peacock inside his house illegally. Peacock is a national bird and falls in Scedule 1 category.

The team informed the forest department and they jointly reached Parth villa in front of Sevasi bus stand and rescued the peacock from there. The beautiful tail is missing from the bird and as per Raj Bhavsar from GSPCA the reason is that peacock is away from its natural habitat.

The peacock was rescued and the person Raju Vaghela was detained by the forest department for further investigation.
