Grain distribution will start from next week in Vadodara city and district under NSFA and PMGKY

District Collector gave guidance on smooth distribution system in the online meeting

As per the instructions of Government of India and State Government, in the second wave of Covid, eligible ration card holders under NSFA get from sale at a fixed price and PM Garib Kalyan Yojna, 3.5 kg of wheat and 1.5 kg of rice per person will be given free of cost. The distribution of wheat and rice is being planned by the district supply department and its distribution from fair price shops is scheduled to start next week.

Vadodara District Collector Shalini Agarwal held an online meeting on Friday and gave guidance and necessary instructions to set up a flawless, smooth as well as covid guideline consistent distribution system.

She made a special request to strictly follow the government circulars during the distribution and covid guidelines of maintaining social distancing and mandatory mask. 

She instruct to provide free items per person and regular NFSA rations as per the basic rule and to monitor the amount received free of cost. Further to ensure that there is no defect or irregularity in the shops as well as to avoid congestion and maintain social distance.  She instructed to make necessary pre-preparations including drawing circles.  The members of the vigilance committee were asked to be aware of the distribution arrangements and planning.

Province officials, Mamlatdars, Supply Deputy Mamlatdars and Zonal Officers joined the online meeting. Necessary instructions were given by the District Supply Officer from the district level.
