Google Pay: Stuck with Payment Status  'Processing’ ? See how to fix the issue.

Recently there have been many cases where users experienced issues with incomplete transactions in Google Pay.

After clicking the payment button the payment gets stuck  in pending mode and  shows the status ‘Processing’ for a long time.

In that case it may take up to 3 days for your bank to complete the transaction. After the processing period, the transaction status will change to 'Success' or 'Failed'.

Don't try to make the same payment while the status is 'Payment processing'.

The following statuses may appear when viewing your bank statement:

  • Success: The merchant will get the money.
  • Failed: The money will be put back into your account.

Unfortunately you cannot cancel a processing payment in Google Pay.If the status appears ‘Payment Processing’ for long time  then in such cases, you will need to raise a dispute from within the app by opening the said transaction.

  1. Open Google Pay .
  2. See all payment activity
  3. Open the transaction you want to report.
  4. In the top-right, tap More  ---->Raise a dispute ----> Continue.

After raising the dispute it may take up to 7-14 days to resolve the issue from Google’s End.
