A Corporation Covid Core Committee has been formed by the Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan to alleviate the inconvenience caused to people during the fight against corona virus.
A meeting was held at the conference hall of the corporation office on Tuesday evening attended by the officials which include mayor, municipal commissioner, deputy mayor, standing committee chairman and others. After the discussions it has been decided to form a core committee to help the administration in their fight against the virus.
Mayor Keyur Rokadiya said, the Covid Core Committee has been constituted by the corporation after discussions with Officer on Special Duty Dr. Vinod Rao. The team will have the officers and office bearers of the corporation.
The committee will continuously monitor the various departments involved in the Covid operation. There will also be plans to set up necessary facilities at Gotri, Sayaji and Samaras Hospitals. The team will also oversee operations to date, such as vaccinations, joint enforcement teams and testing.
He further said that the main objective behind setting up of this committee was to increase coordination with the government and health related facilities for people.
The meeting was attended by Mayor Keyur Rokadiya, Municipal Commissioner P. Swaroop, Deputy Mayor Nanda Joshi, Standing Committee Chairman Dr, Hitendrabhai Patel, ruling party leader Alpesh Limbachiya, health officer Devesh Patel along with other officials and office bearers of the corporation.
