Coronavirus is spreading dangerously all across the world and with this the demand for masks and senitisers is also increased. In view of the increasing demand the VMSS food and drugs department conduct checking at medical stores of Vadodara city to see if they are charging extra money for the items which is included in essential commodities act.

Legal Metrology officer Rajendra Ninama said that after the Coronavirus outbreak there is a huge demand for masks and sensitisers in people and they reached the medical stores to purchase the items for their safety. It is necessary to make them available on market rate to the people but some of them charge extra from them.

Taking in consideration the Food and Drugs department conduct checking at the four medical shops and stores of the city to check any such practice. But the team found nothing such going on in the stores.

One of the medical store owner said that they are selling the essential items to people without charging any extra money. People comes to them and purchase extra stocks and as of now he don’t have any stock left in his store.
