Rajesh Bhavsar of GSPCA had received information for the last two months that a big conspiracy of Tantric rituals was going on in Rajgarh of Panchmahal. Based on that the GSPCA team and the staff of Vadodara Wildlife Circle as well as the Rajgarh RFO conducted a joint operation disguise as sage and found ceremony was going on in the forest.
The main accused was Mansingh Baria, who took the team to the forest to perform a ritual on wildlife. Four schedule 1 turtles were found in his possession on which he was about to perform the tantric ritual. Four other associates were also caught red handed by the Forest Department along with various items.
Four Wildlife Turtles, as well as two deadly weapons which includes two swords, one dagger, one knife were seized from them by the Forest Department. A case was registered as per the Wildlife Act 1972 against them and further action was taken.
