The first Test of the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy series between Australia and India, will begin tomorrow at the Adelaide Oval and it would be a day-night contest. Australia have the best-record in day-night Tests as the side have not lost a single match that has been played with the pink ball.
Cricket Australia (CA) on Monday confirmed that The New South Wales all-rounder Moises Henriques has been added to the squad for the first Test against India.
Ahead of the series, India vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane made it clear that India has the firepower to tame Australia at home. When India won its first-ever Test series in 2018, the pacers played a key role. But this time, the team will miss the services of Ishant Sharma. Rahane, however, is confident that the other pacers have the experience and talent to put the opponents in trouble.
After the first Test, India captain Virat Kohli will leave for India to be with his wife Anushka Sharma, who is expecting their first child. So, in his absence, Rahane is set to take charge of the team.
