In order to strengthen the medical infrastructure especially when the unprecedented spike in Covid-19 cases during the second wave of pandemic has put the medical sector under stress, FGI donated one ambulance each to S.S.G and GMERS Gotti Hospitals on 21 May 2021.
In a brief event held at FGI Business Centre, President, Abhishek Gangwal presented the keys of the ambulances to Dr. Chirag Barot from S.S.G Hospital and Dr. Vishala Pandya representing GMERS Gotri Hospital. Dr. Vinod Rao, IAS, Officer on Special Duty also remain present along with Office Bearers of FGI and FGI Civic Affairs Committee members during the occasion.
The Federation of Gujarat Industries (FGI), founded in the year 1918 has always tried to support the state through timely philanthropic initiatives. Be it donating for setting up the Faculty of Medicine at M. S. University, upgrading the Burns Ward at S.S.G. Hospital, a towing van to the Vadodara Traffic Education Trust (V.T.E.T) or funding the artwork and modernization initiative at the Vadodara Railway Station.
