one shifted to hospital after his health deteriorated
A farmer from Kalam village Praduman Patel sits on fast unto death after ONGC fails to resolve the queries of farmers from Hansot and Bharuch. He was shifted to the hospital after his health deteriorated on the 6th day of fast.
ONGC affected farmer Sunil Patel said Praduman Patel and Nitesh Patel from their village sit on fast unto death for the last six days with demands of crop and land compensation. They said the ONGC failed to resolve their issues and the mediator local revenue department also not visit to meet them. Just police is stand by 24 hours with them but no official is interested in resolving their queries.
MP Mansukh Vasava visited them and assured them of happy solution to the problem after meeting the petroleum minister Dharmendra Pradhan. But till date the ONGC didn’t turn their attention towards their queries which hurt them.
Kisan Sangh Gujarat President Devubha Kathi said 12 to 13 files are missing from the ONGC and till date not found. With this the farmers are rights of the farmers are deprived from their rights. The then collector ordered the ONGC to pay compensation to the farmers but till date they don’t pay anything. They accused the officials sitting in the ONGC LAQ to fool the farmers in the name of corridor. The collector said for the affidavit for the missing files but 10 months passed and nothing is done yet.
With such attitude the farmers chose to sit on fast for their demands. Out of the two the health of Praduman Patel get deteriorated and he was shifted to the hospital. The farmers threaten to continue their protest in more aggressive way in Ankleshwar, Gandhar and Jambusar field.
