Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, the birthday of Prophet Muhammad is being celebrated with due reverence across the country today. In most of the places, various organising committees have decided not to take out Milad processions amidst Corona restrictions. However, in some states, authorities have allowed downsized processions with limited number of people adhering to COVID norms and guidelines. Besides, highlighting the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad 'Milad Mehfils' and online 'Seerat Conferences' are being held.
President, Vice President and Prime Minster greeted people on Milad-un-Nabi.
In his message, President Ram Nath Kovind said, Prophet Muhammad's life is an example of fraternity, compassion and affection and he will always remain a source of inspiration for humanity. Mr Kovind called upon people to take inspiration from the life and ideals of Prophet Muhammad and work for the prosperity of the society and promotion of peace and harmony in the country.
In his message, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu said, the Holy Prophet showed humanity the righteous path of compassion, tolerance and universal brotherhood. He hoped that the eternal message of Prophet will continue to guide people in building a just, humane and harmonious society.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has greeted people on Milad-un-Nabi. In a tweet, Mr Modi hoped that there will be peace and prosperity all around and the virtues of kindness and brotherhood will always prevail. Eid Mubarak.
