Dentists from Gujarat and Mumbai features in cricket tournament playing at Vadodara
Nine teams fight it out for the Dental Champions Trophy
Dentists from Gujarat and Mumbai fight it out inside the cricket field as part of tournament organised by Indian Dental Association, Vadodara branch starting from Saturday. Total nine teams will feature in the two days tournament playing at beautiful Motibaug cricket ground in the city. The aim is to give doctors a moment to enjoy in their hectic schedule during Covid pandemic.
After a gap of one year due to Corona, the fourth edition of the tournament started from Saturday at Motibaug cricket ground featuring nine teams from Gujarat and Mumbai. It's a 10 over a side tournament and total 11 matches will be played in two days. The winner will lift the Dental Champions Trophy.
"Doctor teams from Mumbai, Rajkot, Surat, Ahmedabad, Baroda featuring in the tournament with an aim to enjoy some light moments. Last one year during Corona, doctors put their lives in danger and busy in treatment of patients. With this they all comes at one stage and enjoy some happy moments from their busy schedule," said Dr. Prashant Shah President IDA, Vadodara.
Dr. Vijay Shah, city BJP President inaugurated the tournament and also tried his hand inside the ground played some balls. He said such sports activities is like stress buster for the doctors and also help them maintain their fitness.
