Essential care of Lalbaug Covid Care Center help patients recovered with oxygen level of 92% and corona effect of 50% in CT scan
Facility become blessing for those who do not have the freedom to quarantine at home, Central Jail inmates get essential care
A 100-bed covid care center has been set up at the city's Lalbagh guest house in Vadodara. Patients who have common symptoms of corona and do not have home isolation facilities are being admitted and treated here.
As the number of corona cases is increasing day by day in Vadodara city, Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel during his visit to Vadodara gave instructions to start covid care center for patients who do not have home isolation facility in the city to provide effective treatment to them. Vadodara Municipal Corporation has started Covid Care Center with 100 beds at Lalbaug.
The nodal officer of this center and health officer of Savli taluka Dr. Akshay Patel said, at present, on the first floor of this covid care center, 55 people including 29 inmates of Central Jail and 26 citizens are being treated for corona. So far 12 patients have been discharged from this center.
Vipinbhai Patel of Tarsali recovered after receiving treatment at the center. Praising the services of the care center, his son Dev Patel said, "My father has recovered due to the intensive health services of the doctors and staff at the center."
Medicines, tea, snacks and meals are provided to the patients in this center by the corporation. This center is really a blessing for the patients who do not have isolation facility at home. Dr. Akshay says that patients with common symptoms of corona admitted here are being given two meals a day including medicine, tea, snacks free of cost.
The center is treating patients with two doctors and four nursing staff. Oxygen level of patients are checked every two hours and necessary medicines are being given on time.
Dr. Akshay adds that the center has also cured patients who have an oxygen level of 92% and a CT scan showing a corona effect of 50%. The staff is doing their duties with great dedication.
It may be mentioned here that the inmates of the central jail were kept in this center last year.
