Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana Khan is set to make her Bollywood debut, according to reports. Zoya Akhtar will launch the star kid in the Indian adaptation of international comic book Archie.
"While casting is still underway, she has found one of her central characters in Shah Rukh Khan's daughter, Suhana. While Suhana has done a couple of short films before, Archie would mark her official foray into the world of show-biz. It's in the nascent stage at the moment, and the final paper work will be done once Suhana and her father, Shah Rukh Khan okay the bound script for launch," sources told.
Suhana is currently a student at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. She made her acting debut in 2020 with a short film The Grey Part of Blue, Theodore Gimeno.
Suhana, who often shares glimpses of her life from the US, lad also recently opened up about colourism and being subjected to criticism for her skin colour.
In September last year, she revealed that she has been told 'she's ugly' because of her skin tone since she was 12. She shared screenshots of several offensive comments she has received where she has been called a 'black witch, or 'ugly'.
In an emotional post, she wrote: "Other than the fact that these are actual adults, what's sad is that we are all Indian, which automatically makes us brown - yes we come in different shades but no matter how much you try to distance yourself from the melanin, you just can't. Hating on your own people just means that you are painfully insecure. I'm sorry if social media, Indian matchmaking or even your own families have convinced you, that if you're not 5"7 and fair you're not beautiful. I hope it helps to know that I'm 5"3 and brown and I am extremely happy about it and you should be too."
