Milind Soman, a well-known Bollywood actor, model and passionate health lover, has started the National Unity Run from Mumbai's historic Shivaji Chowk to Kevadia - the Statue of Unity. His Run for Unity conveys a motivational message of unity in diversity. In the last phase, 15 marathon runners from Vadodara will join him at Kevadia on August 21.
Soman will enter Narmada district from Pratap Nagar on 21st and will go to the statue. At that time, Pranab Rai of Vadodara Marathon and a group of 15 runners will run with him for 25 kilometers to welcome him and support his goal of strengthening national unity.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has constructed the Statue of Unity in Kevadia in the form of a monument which is unique in the world to pay a meaningful homage to Sardar Patel who sculpted united India.
In the past, Run for Unity has been organized by various organizations with the message of national unity at its core, in which dignitaries and people have enthusiastically joined. Milind Soman run is a link to it with the aim of strengthening unity and harmony and conveying the message of unity in diversity.
The state government has planned to give a warm welcome to Milind Soman, at the entrance of every district on the way.
The runners of Vadodara Marathon who ran with him in the final stage of the race include Hina, Pradeep, Sachin, Pooja, Pragnesh, Swapnil, Nishith, Niki Joshi, Altaf Pathan, Aman Patel, Rajendra Singh, Narendra Dogra, Ajay Tiwari, Nikunj Khokhariya and Pawan, as stated by the Deputy Collector and Province Officer Vijay Patni.
