Vadodara girl appeared on unique quiz game show hosted by actor Ranveer Singh
Said failed to win but happy to get the platform and much needed push to my dreams
A girl from Vadodara put a shining example before others to pursue their dreams with determination. Ashiyana Kurad works in a Dal Pulav Laari of her father and recently shared stage with actor Ranveer Singh in the unique quiz game show. However she failed to hit the jackpot but is happy to reach the national stage and make place in people's heart.
She lives with her family in front of Sharafi Marriage Hall on Pratapnagar Road in Vadodara and has studied up to Std-12. After the death of her father, she took over the responsibility of running the laari. Every day from 4-30 in the morning till 9 pm she makes different types of food items like dal pulav, masoor pulav, kadhi khichadi, kadhi pulav. From morning 8 to evening 8 it's continuous work for her as she assist her brothers in the family business. However participation in the show gives her a new image and a strength to pursue her dream. The show telecast on 28 November.
"I assist in my father's business and since then I dream of opening a restaurant. Everyday I work from morning to evening assisting my brothers in the Dal Pulav Laari after the death of my father in 2017. The show gives me a new found identity and boost my confidence after interacting with the host Ranveer Singh. He talked to me like a common man and appreciated my efforts. Now I am more focused on my dream to change the Laari to restaurant, " said Ashiyana.
Ashiyana said one have to struggle to get ahead in life. I am a strong girl and do not want to give up in any field. I enjoy reading and learning as well as doing something new. I was overjoyed when I registered for the Big Pictures show and even when the Colors team came to my house for the shoot. Ashiyana registered herself and after the audition selected to appear in the show as a contestant. She answered the questions confidently but missed out the opportunity in the eight question.
She could not win the prize of Rs 10 lakh after missed out on the eighth question. But glad to appear on such a platform and taking a step towards her dream. Although she missed out on the prize money but it gives her confidence a boost. She said, one day I will definitely make my father's dream of building a restaurant.
