Thakur Anoop Singh to Showcase Power-Packed Action in Romeo S3

Directed by Guddu Dhanoa, Romeo S3 is set to be a high-octane action film. Thakur Anoop Singh will be seen playing the role of a police officer, while Palak Tiwari stars as the female lead.

The film is scheduled to release in theatres on May 16, 2025. Let’s hear more from the lead actor about the film.

1. What attracted you to your role in romeo s3? Can you tell us about your character and what made it feel different from anything you’ve done before?

Everything I did for the character of Sangram Singh Shekhawat felt truly different—there are so many layers to him. That complexity is exactly what drew me to the role. It also felt special because this is the first time I’m playing a protagonist in a Hindi film, and since it’s a launch project, there’s a huge sense of responsibility that comes with it.

2. This is your first time working with director Guddu Dhanoa - how was your experience?

This was my first time working with Guddu Dhanoa sir, and it was truly an honour. He’s a legend, and coming from someone as experienced and seasoned as he is, it was a big opportunity for me. At the same time, it was a great platform to rise to his expectations for every scene. He was involved in every little detail of the character, always there to guide me and it made me incredibly happy.

3. Did you face any challenges while playing this character?

The character required a specific physique, so I had to transform my body accordingly and stick to a strict diet to maintain it. On top of that, I had just undergone appendix surgery, which made taking on this role even more challenging.

4. Your fans love you in both South Indian and Hindi films. How do you change your acting style to connect with different types of audiences?

I’ve played a wide range of roles throughout my journey, and this character brings together elements from everything I’ve done so far. If the audience has appreciated my work in the past, I’m confident they’ll enjoy this one too.

5. The look and body language of your character are quite impactful. How much thought went into the styling, walk, and attitude of this role?

I had to create a clear contrast between the two characters I’m playing in the film—one being a drug peddler and the other, DCP Sangram Singh. I worked on making sure each had a distinct identity, and that difference is quite evident on screen, which I think the audience will really enjoy.

6. The film is loaded with action. what kind of Physical training or stunt preparation did you do for this role?

Yes, the film is loaded with action, but it’s the kind of action that’s emotionally driven. The sequences were designed by Tinu Verma, who’s an outstanding technician—it was amazing to have his expertise on board. And as for the stunts, I performed all of them myself—no body doubles were used.

7. What message do you hope your character in Romeo S3 delivers to the audience?

The message I want to share through Romeo S3 is that we must celebrate our Indian police and judiciary system—their presence and strength deserve recognition. The film showcases that fierce spirit, and I sincerely request the audience to watch it in cinemas and shower us with their love and support.

8. Your co-star plays a strong journalist in the film. How was your on-screen chemistry?

I had a very supportive cast, and my co-star Palak Tiwari was both fun and entertaining. She’s exactly like her character in the film and has done an excellent job with her hard work. We also shared great on-screen chemistry, which made working together even more enjoyable.
