Shah Rukh Khan returned to the awards after a couple of years and seems to have entertained the audience with his usual charm and wit as the host of the ceremony and later, he also bagged the prestigious Best Actor Award this time.

The superstar went on to receive the same for his performance in the 2023 action drama Jawan.

The said award was presented by none other than the director Mani Ratnam and music composer A R Rahman both of whom were a part of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dil Se.

In a video clip from the award ceremony that has found its way on social media. SRK is not only seen receiving the trophy with humility but he also touched Mani Ratnam’s feet as a mark of respect.

Furthermore, the actor gave a heartfelt yet short speech expressing his gratitude towards IIFA and his audience.

For the unversed, Jawan marked the Bollywood debut of filmmaker Atlee and female superstar Nayanthara.
