Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu will take a one-year break from work to prioritise her health. The actress, who was diagnosed with autoimmune condition myositis, will leave for the United States for treatment in August, her publicist confirmed sources reported.

If her condition improves earlier, she might return within six months. According to Times of India, she has also returned advance payments to producers as she decides to focus on her health. Samantha revealed in October last year that she was diagnosed with myositis, an autoimmune condition that can cause muscles to become weak.
