Ravi Tandon, father of actress Raveena Tandon, passes away at 87

Ravi Tandon, a well-known film director and producer who directed Amitabh Bachchan's "Khuddar" and Rishi Kapoor-Neetu Kapoor's Khel Khel Mein, died in the early hours of Friday at his home in Mumbai. He was 87 years old when he died.

Ravi Tandon, the father of Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon and actor Rajiv Tandon, died of respiratory failure.

'He was suffering from lung fibrosis from past few years. Today he passed away due to respiratory failure at 3.30 am,' a family member told.

Raveena, 47, paid her father a moving tribute on Instagram.

'You will always walk with me , I will always be you, I'm never letting go. Love you papa,' she wrote alongside a series of pictures with her father.

Ravi Tandon is known for directing suspense drama Anhonee with Sanjeev Kumar, Rajesh Khanna's Nazrana with Sridevi and Smita Patil, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor's Jhoota Kahin Ka, Amitabh Bachchan's criminal thriller Majboor, and multi-starrer flicks Khuddaar and Zindagi, among others.
