Rani Mukerji gears up for Mardaani 3, shooting begins in June

Rani Mukerji is set to return as the fierce cop in Mardaani 3. Announced in 2024, the film is scheduled to begin shooting in June this year.

The makers are currently in the pre-production phase and conducting look tests for key characters. According to sources, the team is also searching for an actor to play the antagonist.

The entertainment portal reported that the director aims to begin filming the cop thriller by June.

Yash Raj Films is actively working on pre-production, refining the screenplay and conducting look tests.

Auditions are underway to bring in fresh talent, with a strong focus on casting a powerful villain.

The production team has also finalized key shooting locations, with major portions set to be filmed in Mumbai and Delhi. In the coming weeks, additional locations in North India will be confirmed.

Mardaani 3 will be directed by Abhiraj Minawala, who has been mentored by Yash Raj Films.

Aditya Chopra recognized his potential early on, allowing him to assist on films like Band Baaja Baaraat, Gunday, Sultan, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, and Tiger 3, among others. Currently serving as the Associate Director of War 2, Abhiraj is now entrusted with leading the blockbuster Mardaani franchise.
