Rakesh Roshan urges preventive screening after neck surgery

Veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan recently underwent a medical procedure to address a serious, though asymptomatic, health issue concerning his neck.

The 74-year-old was admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital last week, where doctors carried out a carotid artery angioplasty a preventive procedure designed to improve blood flow to the brain by clearing major blockages in the arteries.

The procedure was conducted after a crucial discovery during a routine health check-up.

Roshan further used the opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of early detection and preventive care, especially for individuals over the age of 45.
