Prithviraj, a film starring Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar, will hit theatres on this date

The film Prithviraj, starring Akshay Kumar, Sonu Sood, Sanjay Dutt, and Manushi Chhillar, is due to hit theatres soon. Due to the epidemic, the YRF film, which was originally intended to be released in 2020, has been postponed. Prithviraj, directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, will now be released in theatres on June 10th.

Akshay Kumar posted a couple character posters on Instagram with the message, "The grand Samrat #Prithviraj Chauhan's historic journey is coming to the big screen on 10th June in Hindi, Tamil & Telugu."

The first teaser for the film was released in November 2021, giving a glimpse into the mammoth opus. Ashutosh Rana, Sakshi Tanwar, Manav Vij, and Lalit Tiwari also star in the film. Miss World 2017 Manushi makes her acting debut in this film.

"It is truly an honour that I will be playing the role of one of the most fearless and courageous kings of India, Prithviraj Chauhan. As a nation, we should always celebrate our heroes and immortalize what they did to propagate the values that Indians lived by. Prithviraj is our attempt to bring to light his valour and daredevilry. Prithviraj was the only person standing in front of a merciless nemesis and the bravery he showed, made him a true Indian hero, an inspiration for generations and a legend. So this announcement coming on my birthday has indeed made it more special for me," Akshay said in a previous statement.

The film, which is based on the life of the Rajput ruler, has sparked debate. In Lucknow, a petition to prohibit the film has been filed. Karni Sena had already requested a preview of the film prior to its wide release.

Akshay will be seen in Bachchan Pandey before Prithviraj. Ram Setu, Raksha Bandhan, Gorkha, and OMG 2 are among his forthcoming releases.
