Mexican-American actor Adan Canto passed away on January 8.
The 42-year-old had appendiceal cancer. Canto, who started at 16 as an aspiring musician, went on to star in series like Homeland and Mixology.
He also starred as Minister Lara in Narcos and appeared in episodes of Blood and Oil. His last role was in the series, Cleaning Lady.
Canto was born in 1981 in Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico and raised in Texas.
After doing a few local commercials and television shows, his first prominent role was in The Following, a Fox drama series. He has also starred in movies like X-Men: Days of Future Past, 2 Hearts and Bruised, which was directed by Halle Berry.
Canto is survived by his wife Stephanie Ann Canto and two children.
