Sanoj Mishra, the director of The Diary of West Bengal, is set to make the 16-year-old the next big star in his upcoming directorial, The Diary of Manipur.

Mishra made the news official on Instagram, stating that he has been following her story for quite some time, and thought she would be the perfect fit for his film, as well as be a life-changing opportunity for her.

According to the sources, Monalisa will be given three-month training in Mumbai before the shooting begins.

Monalisa broke the internet when a content creator captured a video of her selling beaded necklaces to the attendees of the Mahakumbh Mela at Prayagraj.

The clip went viral on social media, leading everyone attending the Hindu pilgrimage to scout for the girl, hoping they can lay their eyes on the “brown beauty”.

Several hundred men hovering over her led her parents to send her back to her hometown in Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone district.

She received multiple proposals from suitors, was offered modelling gigs, and as per multiple reports, was approached by Maheshwari Sarees to be their ambassador.

Though her family declined the above offers, they have decided to let her be a part of Sanoj Mishra’s next directorial venture.
