Kannada actor Nagabhushan held after his car hits couple, killing woman in Bengaluru

Kannada film actor Nagabhushan S.S. has been arrested after his car allegedly rammed into a couple killing a woman and critically injuring her husband.
According to the police, the incident took place at Vasanthapura road on Saturday night.
Prema S. (48) and her husband Krishna B. (58) were walking on the footpath when the incident happened. It was alleged that Nagabhushan was behinde the wheels.
The car was coming from Uttarahalli towards Konanakunte Cross. Reportedly, the speeding car hit the couple before crashing into an electric pole.
Though the couple were rushed to the hospital, Prema succumbed to her injuries while her husband is undergoing treatment.
The actor was arrested from the spot itself, said reports.
A case has been registered and the car was seized for further investigation.
According to DCP Traffic South, Shivaprakash Devraj, the actor was taken into police custody and his blood sample has been sent for alcohol testing.
Recently, he had acted in the movie Tagaru Palya. He is known for his comic roles in movies.
