In a video circulating online, Shefali’s husband, actor Parag Tyagi, was seen for the first time since her tragic demise. A heartbroken Parag was spotted inside his car, visibly emotional, as he left the hospital premises. He partially covered his face with his hand, avoiding the cameras gathered outside.
Family members and close friends were also seen exiting the hospital, mourning the untimely loss. Later, Mumbai Police and forensic officials were seen arriving at Shefali's residence for further examination. Her body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for post-mortem.
According to sources, Parag Tyagi and three others rushed Shefali to the hospital after she suffered a cardiac arrest, but unfortunately, she could not be revived.
Shefali Jariwala rose to fame at the age of 20 with her appearance in the iconic music video Kaanta Laga, a remix of the 1972 hit song from the film Samadhi. The song's popularity catapulted her into the limelight, earning her the nickname "Kaanta Laga girl."
Over the years, Shefali featured in various music albums and films and also gained popularity through reality television. She participated in Nach Baliye 5 and Nach Baliye 7 alongside Parag Tyagi. In 2018, she starred opposite Shreyas Talpade in the ALT Balaji web series Baby Come Naa, and in 2019, she entered the Bigg Boss 13 house as a contestant.
Shefali was previously married to Harmeet Singh of the Meet Bros duo in 2004; the couple divorced in 2009. She later married Parag Tyagi in 2015.
