The Nelson Dilipkumar-directorial was taken to court by IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for a scene in a which a criminal is shown wearing the team's jersey.

In its suit in the Delhi High Court, the IPL team stated that the team's jersey was used in a denigratory manner and that the film was sending a wrong message about the brand.

In a particular scene, a contract killer donning the RCB jersey also makes misogynistic statements about a woman, reports stated.

The filmmakers and the IPL team have reached a settlement with the former agreeing to alter the scenes featuring the jersey.

The film's team has to ensure that the RCB branding elements are removed.

The Delhi HC ordered Jailer makers to use the altered version of the scene in theatres from September 1.

Only the altered version of the Rajinikanth-starrer will release on television and streaming platforms as well.

The action drama, bankrolled by Sun Pictures, is having a dream run at the box office since its August 10 release.

On Sunday, the film crossed the Rs 600-core mark worldwide and was still running housefull as per trade analysts.

The Tamil film has been dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam as well.
