Neel Shah a student from Zenith school in Vadodara made a solar powered cycle purchasing from scrap. Using the current mechanism he turned the simple looking cycle into a trendy one giving a mileage of 25 to 30 kilometers in single charge.

From childhood Neel has the passion towards science and after 10th he took the science stream due to his interest in Physics and pursue his dreams. With support from his Physics teacher he started working on a project to design a solar powered cycle.

"I work on to use Solar energy as the main power source to the cycle and fit 10 Watt Solar plate and battery charging with one ampere. It gets charging continuously due to the Solar panel and at full charge it can go 25 to 40 kilometers and can give a mileage of 10 to 15 kilometers due to the Solar plate and battery installed it the cycle. It can carry a load of 80 to 90 kgs easily, " Said Neel Shah.

His teacher is also surprised with the design of the Solar powered cycle. "We put a concept before the students about design a bicycle using renewable energy like Solar power. Neel has prepared it just one month time and surprised us after came to the school riding the newly designed Solar power cycle. We also tried our hand and surprised to see Neel turned a cycle purchasing from scrap into a upto date solar powered cycle, " Said Santosh Kaushik Physics teacher, Zenith school Vadodara.
