Two Vadodara schools, New Era Senior Secondary School and Anand Vidya Vihar, Receive 335 Lacs funding for nurturing innovative ideas

The trustees of two of Vadodara city's leading schools, New Era Senior Secondary School and Anand Vidya Vihar, established a Section 8 company, dedicated towards promoting student innovation to whom the funding for incubation assistance was awarded. Government of Gujarat recently allotted a funding of 335 Lacs dedicated towards developing a start-up incubator for the two associated schools.

The Government of Gujarat has been taking numerous initiatives to develop the scope of entrepreneurship and innovation across the State by facilitating the establishment of platforms which will enhance the scope of inclusivity in the field. Through such support platforms, the Scheme of Assistance for Incubators and Start-ups has taken efforts towards making the scope of entrepreneurship more inclusive and accommodating towards housing the dreams and aspirations of the young entrepreneurs and innovators.

This recent funding in support of the two schools is one amongst such initiatives which is dedicated towards providing both New Era Senior Secondary School and Anand Vidya Vihar, a way to provide its students with such opportunities for endless innovations and technical creativity. New Era's school director, Shashi Kelkar stated "such funding assistance for an incubation centre is the first of its kind to be awarded to a school in the State, and we will surely utilise it towards creating countless platforms for our students to enhance their skills in innovation."

The funding assistance is dedicated towards various key areas which are fundamental towards shaping and developing the scope of entrepreneurship. The funding is in the key areas of capital assistance for setting up innovative and necessary infrastructure, a dedicated mentoring assistance, operational assistance, assistance for procurement of softwares, and other added requirements in the form of utilities.

The funding will provide the much needed motivation and support which the students require so as to fully develop their ideas into established projects. With the help of this Section 8 company, the students of both the schools will receive the much needed assistance and guidance in their projects and ideas.

The schools throughout their curriculums have incorporated the teaching of practical based skills as a fundamental part of the learning process. Students during their learning experience at New Era have been exposed to various technical events where they have made an outstanding display of excellence. In addition, the students of Anand Vidya Vihar have also been displaying their passion for innovation through their numerous developments which have brought value to the society and to the field of education.

Entrepreneurship and innovation have become the shared gifts of today's generation, and once they are nurtured from a young age, they will surely usher India into a new age. To bring this to life, the trustees of the two schools came together to set up this section 8 company for setting up an incubation for developing a common growth ecosystem for the students. "We have come up with this Section 8 company so as to create a platform for our students to explore their innovative ideas and I believe it will bring more value addition to our current teaching and learning processes", said Anand Vidya Vihar principal, Menon Purnima.
