Schools in Punjab remained shut from December 14 to 31, 2023 due to harsh and cold weather.

As per the holiday schedule, students had to return to school on January 1, 2024.

However, considering the low temperature, students and parents were expecting a Punjab school holiday extension.

In place of prolongation, the authorities have modified the school timings.
