The new textbooks are being formulated by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).

The NCERT had earlier planned to introduce new textbooks for all grades up to Class 12 in the upcoming academic year; the deadline for submitting drafts to the NCERT by all curricular area groups responsible for drafting textbooks was February 10.

However, the CBSE circular has now made it clear that there will be no change in the curriculum and textbooks for other classes for the coming academic year, which will commence on April 1, 2024.
