Gujarat Government Approves IAS Study Centres in 10 Cities; Free Coaching for 1,000 Aspirants

In a major boost for civil services aspirants, the Gujarat government has approved the establishment of IAS (Indian Administrative Service) study centres across 10 cities, housed within seven universities and three government colleges. This initiative aims to provide structured coaching and support for students preparing for competitive exams like the UPSC Civil Services Examination.

1,000 Free Seats with Refundable Deposit

Each study centre will offer 100 seats, bringing the total capacity to 1,000 aspirants statewide. The coaching will be free of cost, although selected candidates will be required to pay a refundable deposit of ₹2,500. A minimum of 75% attendance will be mandatory to continue in the program and to be eligible for the refund.

Entrance Exam and Key Dates

Admissions will be granted through a common entrance examination, consisting of a 200-mark General Studies paper. Interested candidates must register online and pay an application fee of ₹300. The last date to apply is September 15, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

• Age: 20 to 32 years
• Education: Graduate (bachelor's degree) from a recognized university in Gujarat or the candidate must be a resident of Gujarat

Reservation and Merit List

A merit list will be prepared based on performance in the entrance exam. The program includes 3% reservation for differently-abled candidates, and age relaxation will be provided for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.
