The Gujarat Gaun Seva Pasandgi Mandal (GSSSB) has officially announced the Preliminary Examination date for the Revenue Talati Recruitment 2025 under Advertisement No. 301/2025-26.
The exam is scheduled to be held on 14th September 2025 (Sunday) from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, as part of the massive recruitment drive launched for the Revenue Department of Gujarat, which has opened up 2,389 vacancies for the position of Revenue Talati (Class-III).
The online application process for the recruitment was held between 26th May and 12th June 2025, with thousands of candidates applying across the state.
Eligible candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, along with basic computer knowledge and language proficiency in either Gujarati or Hindi. The age limit for applicants is set between 20 to 35 years, with age relaxation available for reserved categories as per government norms. The salary structure includes a fixed pay of ₹26,000 per month for the initial five years, followed by a regular pay scale as per the 7th Pay Commission norms.
The selection process includes a three-stage examination: Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and Document Verification. The Preliminary Exam will be OMR-based, consisting of 200 multiple-choice questions across various subjects such as Gujarati and English languages, General Knowledge, History, Geography, Public Administration, Science, Mathematics, and Reasoning.
There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. The Main Examination will be descriptive in nature, with separate papers for Gujarati Language (100 marks), English Language (100 marks), and General Studies (150 marks), totaling 350 marks over three sessions.
The official syllabus covers a broad range of topics, including current affairs, Indian polity, economic development, Gujarat history and culture, environmental awareness, and computer fundamentals.
