CBSE Warns against fake paper leak rumours amid ongoing Class 10, 12 exams

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exams for Classes X and XII have started and will continue until April 4, 2025. The Board has made all necessary arrangements to ensure the exams are conducted smoothly and fairly.

CBSE has warned that false rumours are being spread on social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter), claiming that the exam papers for 2025 have been leaked.

These claims are not true and are meant to cause unnecessary panic among students and parents.

Parents are urged to advise their children not to believe or share unverified information, as it disrupts the exam process.

In 2025, a total of 42,00,237 students are taking the CBSE Board exams, which is 3,14,695 more than last year’s 38,85,542 candidates.

Of these, 24,12,072 students are in Class 10, and 17,88,165 are in Class 12. The exams will be held at 7,842 centres across the country.

CBSE has strengthened its security measures for the 2025 board exams by introducing stricter rules.

These include CCTV surveillance in exam halls, gender-specific frisking, and strict action against the use of mobile phones or spreading rumours.

The board has issued clear guidelines for exam centre staff, students, and parents to ensure fair and smooth conduct of the exams. As part of the new CCTV policy, all schools designated as exam centres must now have CCTV facilities in place.
