Due to Corona pandemic this year the celebrations are a low key affair and adding to that the public has also been hit hard by the economic downturn. In such situation Kamdhenu Gau Amruta Sanstha is pushing forward the vocal for local and selling diwali products made from cow dung. They also employs rural women in this initiative and make them self independent.



At a time when the economic situation of the people is deteriorating due to the Corona epidemic, the Vadodara-based entreprenuer has provided employment to about 450 women by making different Diwali items including lamps and decorative mangunga made from cow dung. These all items can be used for Diwali festivities. He went to rural areas and prepared women by training them to make home decor and decorative items from cow dung.



Competing with Chinese items he delivered
Diwali items from house to house, including lamps made of cow dung. So far nearly 30,000 lamps and home decor items have been sold. 30 from Vadodara, 85 from Surat and 30 from Kutch bhuj as well as women from Rajasthan are getting employment after get training. Apart from lamps, various decorative items like idols of Lakshmi and Ganesha, garlands, incense sticks, auspicious benefit stickers, flower pots, key chains are made from cow dung and sold to people.
